NGC 937 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 257 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 80,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 911 , NGC 914 , NGC 923 , NGC 946 , among others .
The object was discovered by Edouard Stephan on December 12, 1884 .
