Veurey-Voroize is a French commune with 1,438 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Administratively it is assigned to the canton of Fontaine-Vercors (until 2015: canton of Fontaine-Sassenage ) and the Arrondissement of Grenoble . The inhabitants are called Veurois (es) .
geography
Veurey-Voroize is located about 13 kilometers northwest of Grenoble on the Isère . Veurey-Voroize is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montaud in the north and west, Voreppe in the east, Noyarey in the south and Autrans in the southwest.
Parts of the municipality belong to the Vercors Regional Nature Park .
