Roissard is a French municipality with 306 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Grenoble and belongs to the canton of Matheysine-Trièves ( Monestier-de-Clermont until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Roissardons .

geography

Roissard is located about 28 kilometers south-southwest of Grenoble on a plateau in the Vercors Mountains. The river Ébron limits the municipality to the south. Roissard is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Monestier-de-Clermont in the north and north-west, meeting place in the east and north-east, Lavars in the south and south-east, Saint-Martin-de-Clelles in the south-west, Saint-Michel-les-Portes in the west and Gresse- en-Vercors in the north-west.
