Sarcenas is a French village with 189 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble , the Canton of Grenoble-2 (until 2015 Saint-Égréve ) and the Grenoble-Alpes-Métropole municipal association .
geography
Sarcenas is located about nine kilometers north-northeast of Grenoble in the southern roof of the Chartreuse massif within the Chartreuse Regional Nature Park . Sarcenas is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse in the north, Le Sappey-en-Chartreuse in the east and south-east, Quaix-en-Chartreuse in the south and south-west, and Proveysieux in the west.
