Château-Bernard is a French municipality with 267 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Grenoble and belongs to the canton of Matheysine-Trièves (until 2015: canton of Monestier-de-Clermont ).

Château-Bernard is located about 26 kilometers south-southwest of Grenoble on a plateau in the Vercors Mountains. Château-Bernard is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villard-de-Lans in the north, Le Gua in the northeast, Miribel-Lanchâtre in the east, Saint-Guillaume in the south and southeast, Saint-Andéol in the south and southwest and Corrençon-en-Vercors in the west and northwest.
