Le Gua is a French commune with a population of 1,779 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the community association Grenoble-Alpes Métropole , the Arrondissement Grenoble and Canton Pont-de-Claix (2015: Canton Vif ).
The municipality consists of the larger towns of Les Saillants du Gua , Saint-Barthélemy and Prélenfry .
geography
Le Gua is located in eastern France in the Vercors massif , 19 kilometers south-southwest of Grenoble . The municipality is located in the Vercors Regional Nature Park . Le Gua is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Paul-de-Varces in the north, Vif in the northeast, Saint-Martin-de-la-Cluze in the east and southeast, Miribel-Lanchâtre in the south, Château-Bernard in the southwest and Villard-de -Lans to the west and northwest.
