Tencin is a municipality in Grésivaudan . The Isère limits the municipality to the west. Tencin is surrounded by the neighboring communities Goncelin in the north, Theys in the east, Hurtières in the south-east, La Pierre in the south, Lumbin in the west and south-west and La Terrasse in the west and north-west.
