Murianette lies in the long valley of the Grésivaudan . In the north-west rises the Mont Saint-Eynard , the outermost mountain range of the Chartreuse Mountains . There is also the Isère as a municipality boundary. Murianette is surrounded by the neighboring parishes of Meylan in the north and northwest, Domène in the north, Revel in the east and northeast, Saint-Martin-d'Uriage in the south and east, Venon in the south and southwest and Gières in the west and southwest.
