La Buisse is a French commune with 3,142 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble and the Canton of Voiron .
geography
The municipality is located about 20 kilometers northwest of Grenoble and 80 kilometers southeast of Lyon in the Isère valley on the edge of the heights of the Chartreuse Regional Nature Park in the valley basin. Neighboring municipalities of La Buisse are Coublevie in the north, La Sure-en-Chartreuse in the east, Voreppe in the south and Saint-Jean-de-Moirans in the west. The Isère itself does not affect the municipality, but runs through the southern neighboring municipalities.
Transport links
The high-level transport links in the Isèretal also hardly affect La Buisse. Only in the extreme south-west does the A48 motorway cross the municipality over a length of around 1.5 kilometers; the town itself is further north and is connected to the motorway by the D121 departmental road. The D1075 (from Voreppe to Voiron ) also runs through the village.
