Montchaboud is a French municipality with 339 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble and the canton of Oisans-Romanche (until 2015 Vizille ).
geography
Montchaboud is located about nine kilometers south-southeast of Grenoble . The Romanche limits the community in the southwest. Montchaboud is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Jarrie in the north and west, Brié-et-Angonnes in the north-east, Vizille in the east and south-east, Notre-Dame-de-Mésage in the south and Champ-sur-Drac in the south-west.
