Udo Kristen

Udo Kristen (born November 4, 1937 in Lodz , Poland) is a German biologist and former professor at the University of Hamburg . His specialty is cell biology and cell toxicology .

Life

In 1969 , Kristen received his doctorate in biology from the University of Hamburg and then worked as an academic adviser at the Institute for General Botany and the Botanical Garden . From 1979 until his retirement in 2003 he was Professor of General Botany. In 1985 he completed his habilitation . Udo Kristen was deputy director of the institute three times - most recently from 1999 to 2001. For two decades, from 1976 to 1996, he was the construction manager of the Klein Flottbek biocenter.
