Proveysieux is a French village with 507 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble , the Canton of Grenoble-2 (until 2015 Saint-Égrève ) and the Grenoble-Alpes-Métropole municipal association . The inhabitants are called Proveyzards .
geography
Proveysieux is located about eight kilometers north-northwest of Grenoble in the southern roof of the Chartreuse massif within the Chartreuse Regional Nature Park . Proveysieux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse in the north and northeast, Sarcenas in the east, Quaix-en-Chartreuse in the east and southeast, Saint-Égrève in the south, Fontanil-Cornillon in the southwest, Mont-Saint-Martin in the West and Pommiers-la-Placette in the north-west.
