Political career

Together with other AfD members, Müller founded the AfD-Mittelstandsforum association in 2013 . After the 2017 general election, he entered the 19th Bundestag via the state list of AfD Bavaria . He was in 6th place on the state list and was a candidate in the Traunstein constituency . Within the AfD parliamentary group , he was elected fourth managing director of the group. He is a member of the AfD's committee for economy and energy . He was elected deputy chairman of AfD Bavaria in 2019. Within the AfD parliamentary group, he was the parliamentary director of the group from 2017 to 2019 . He has been its foreign trade policy spokesman since 2018. He is a member of the AfD's committee for economy and energy.

Positions

After Bernd Lucke and ALFA split off from the AfD, Müller clearly positioned himself. He said that under Lucke the orientation of the AfD was “so vague”. Now, however, the message is clear: "German interests first."

After the general election, the weekly newspaper Die Zeit wrote that Müller was “ nationally conservative ” within the AfD. Along with Björn Höcke and André Poggenburg, he was one of the signatories of the Erfurt resolution and is considered a supporter of the right-wing nationalist inner-party association Der Flügel .

Müller not only criticized the negative in his view, the German economy impact of trade sanctions against Russia but claimed there were "plans of the warmongers and Wirtschaftsvernichter from Washington," a rapprochement between Germany and Russia through provocations and instigated war in Ukraine to to destroy. He claims to have found evidence of this on a “free thinker site on the Internet”. Müller also put forward the thesis that the downing of Malaysia Airline Flight 17 was carried out by the Ukrainian air forces on behalf of the USA in order to provoke intervention by Western powers. Müller refers to two YouTube videos.

When Auschwitz survivor Anita Lasker-Wallfisch gave a speech in the Bundestag on January 31, 2018 during the commemoration hour for the day of commemoration of the victims of National Socialism , Müller refused to applaud. The television magazine Kontraste addressed this in the program on February 8, 2018.

Hansjörg Müller is for grassroots democracy and against " oligarchization ", that is, against a seizure of power by a few in the party. He considers oligarchization to be a danger that exists in every political party. In order to prevent this from happening in the AfD, he started the “Member Party Congress” initiative in August 2019, which advocates the mandatory holding of member party conventions in the AfD at the state and federal level. He promotes this initiative on YouTube and on a website specially set up for this purpose.

In 2019, at the Bundestag's open day , he advocated an "exchange of disloyal (= globalist-German-hostile) management cadres in business and politics" because the "great top managers" of German stock corporations were over-infected with a "globalist bacillus".

In 2020, he accused Bill Gates of being behind the corona virus in the ZDF morning magazine, because he wanted to exterminate half of humanity and then force vaccinate the other half in order to earn money. In the Bundestag, Müller claimed that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation had infiltrated the World Health Organization in order to force vaccinate humanity. Sören Bartol then called this statement in an interjection as a "bottomless conspiracy theory".

In 2020, he doubted the lethality of the corona virus in a video and claimed that the vast majority of corona deaths had died of other causes.
