rbb24 (until August 31, 2018: rbb AKTUELL ) is a daily news program on rbb television with current regional reports and reports from the federal states of Berlin and Brandenburg . The show serves as a complement to the broadcast at 19:30 daily Countries magazines Abendschau (Berlin) and currently Brandenburg . The first regular issue of rbb aktuell was broadcast on April 29, 2004. On the other hand, rbb24 is the name of the rbb website as part of the ARD media library and offers a portal for freely accessible videos, live streams , news and multimedia content.

The first broadcast of each day is broadcast at 1 p.m., followed by other issues in the afternoon at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. The programs are 10, 15 or 5 minutes long and conclude with a short weather report.
Within the program rbb UM SECHS there are two short news overviews from Berlin and Brandenburg from the rbb24 editorial team.
At 7:30 p.m., the respective country magazines, Abendschau and Brandenburg provide detailed information about the daily news and topics for Berlin and Brandenburg. Both programs are 30 minutes long and each contain two message blocks.
At 9:45 p.m. the rbb24 editorial team reports with a 15-minute late edition that is broadcast as rbb24. Since September 1, 2018, broadcasts from the various sections of the day will not be repeated in this program. For a long time, the media morning was an integral part of the program, when the headlines of various daily newspapers for the coming day were presented at the end of the program.
The broadcast concludes with a short weather report.
The SpätAbendschau , which was produced by the rbb predecessor SFB , acted as the first broadcast of the late edition of rbb24 in the Berlin city area .

The rbb24 broadcasts come alternately from the two studio houses in Berlin and Potsdam . The late edition at 9:45 p.m. is broadcast daily from Berlin. The studio in Potsdam is mainly used for the weekday short editions of rbb24 .
