Michael Flotho

Michael Flotho (* 1955 ) is a German journalist and television presenter .

Flotho studied German and Romance languages in Freiburg im Breisgau and then completed an internship at Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR). From 1982 to 1991 he worked as a freelance news editor and presenter for various radio and television stations in Munich . Since 1991 he has lived and worked in Berlin . Professional background: Inforadio 101 , RTL and Inforadio ( SFB / ORB ). From 1995 he was the presenter of the news of the evening show on rbb television (previously on SFB1 ) and has been part of the team of presenters for the rbb aktuell program since 2004 .

In the summer of 2008, Flotho stopped acting as a presenter for the Abendschau and rbb-aktuell at his own request and has only worked as an editor for rbb since then. There he can also be heard as a voice in news reports on the "Abendschau" and as the voice of a translator for foreign-language interviewees. In 2009 he wrote his first book When I fell in love with Barbra Streisand's husband .

Flotho is a member of the board of trustees of Berliner Aids-Hilfe .
