Raiko Thal

Raiko Thal (* 1963 in East Berlin ) is a German journalist and television presenter .

Life

After finishing school, Thal first completed an apprenticeship as an electrician . He then worked as an artistic lighting technician at the theater (including Friedrichstadtpalast and Deutsches Theater ).

Thal's professional career includes acting and speaking training (from 1985), military service with the NVA , founding a theater group ( Appolos Wanderbühne ) and working as a news anchor for the DFF TV program elf99 .

In 1991 he hosted in Mainz at 3sat and was correspondent for ProSieben . In 1992 Thal moderated a Brandenburg journal for the newly founded ORB . At the end of 1992 he switched to the SFB and presented the newly created programs Abendschau-Express and SpätAbendschau . After the merger of ORB and SFB to form rbb , he works as a reporter and presenter for the evening show and the radio wave Radio Berlin 88.8 . From November 2003 to 2011 he moderated zibb - at home in Berlin & Brandenburg , and at the same time continued to host the 9:45 p.m. edition of the news magazine rbb AKTUELL and the Berliner Abendschau. On November 2, 2011, he also took over the health magazine rbb Praxis .

He also works as a radio play and voice actor as well as in advertising, moderates large trade fairs and participates in readings and theater projects.

Thal lives in Berlin-Köpenick. As a trademark it developed rather by chance that he concludes his moderation with the audible click of a ballpoint pen. When he dropped this quirk, there was a riot of spectator protests and he's been doing it again ever since. Hundreds of pens have already broken this way.
