Axel Walter
Axel Walter (* 1968 in Berlin ) is a German journalist and television presenter .
Life
Born in West Berlin, he began his media career at the age of 12 with RIAS youth radio. He completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at Daimler-Benz in Berlin and studied theater studies and art history . Walter then volunteered at the former broadcaster Free Berlin . Gradually, his field of activity expanded as a radio play lecturer via the recording manager to his own radio contributions. On the advice of the then RIAS chief spokesman Reinhard Bülow, he took speaking lessons. After that, Axel Walter became a spokesman for program announcements and news on Südwestfunk and NDR television . He also dubbed films.
Axel Walter has been working for the SFB - today's Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg - since 1991. There he moderated for a few years at radioBerlin88.8 . Until December 2010 he also presented the rbb health magazine QUIVIVE . He also regularly gives internal training seminars at Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg and teaches at the Berlin School of Journalism . In 2004 he played himself in a small role as a newscaster for the ARD crime scene An honest skin . In 2011 he was also in the first in the crime series Murder in the best company .
Walter has been a spokesperson for the rbb news program Abendschau since 1997 , and has also been the head of news there since 2002. In addition, he often moderates rbb aktuell in the early evening on weekdays .
