Le Versoud is a French municipality with 4818 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble and is part of the canton of Le Moyen Grésivaudan . The inhabitants are called Bédouins .
geography
Le Versoud is located in the Grésivaudan countryside on the Isère river between Grenoble and the Belledonne mountain range . Le Versoud is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Nazaire-les-Eymes in the north, Villard-Bonnot in the northeast, La Combe-de-Lancey in the east, Saint-Jean-le-Vieux in the southeast, Revel in the south, Domène in the southwest, Montbonnot-Saint-Martin in the west and Saint-Ismier in the north-west.
The municipality consists of the localities of Le Pruney , Le Bourg , Champ Lévrier , L'Etape , Roussillon , Le Bois-Français . Grenoble-Le Versoud Airport is located in the municipality .
