Brié-et-Angonnes is a French commune with 2,556 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement Grenoble , the canton Le Pont-de-Claix (until 2015: Canton Vizille ) and the municipal association Grenoble Alpes Métropole . The inhabitants are called Briataux .
geography
Brié-et-Angonnes is about eight kilometers south-east of Grenoble on the small river Verderet . Brié-et-Angonnes is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Poisat in the north, Herbeys in the northeast, Vaulnaveys-le-Haut in the east, Vaulnaveys-le-Bas in the southeast, Vizille and Montchaboud in the south, Jarrie in the west and Bresson and Eybens in the northwest.
