Cras is a French municipality with 438 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Grenoble and belongs to the canton of Le Sud Grésivaudan ( Tullins until 2015 ).

Cras is about 23 kilometers west-northwest of Grenoble . Cras is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Forteresse in the north and north-west, Morette in the east and north-east, Poliénas in the south-east, Chantesse in the south, Vatilieu in the west and south-west and Quincieu in the west and north-west.
