Entre-deux-Guiers is a French commune with 1,763 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Entre-deux-Guiers belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble and is part of the canton of Chartreuse-Guiers (until 2015: canton of Saint-Laurent-du-Pont ). The inhabitants are called Guiérois (es) .

geography

Entre-deux-Guiers is about 26 kilometers north of Grenoble in the Chartreuse plain . As the name of the municipality suggests, the Guiers-Mort and the Guiers-Vif converge here in the Guiers . Entre-deux-Guiers is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Échelles in the north, Saint-Christophe-sur-Guiers in the east, Saint-Laurent-du-Pont in the south and Miribel-les-Échelles in the west. The municipality is located in the Chartreuse Regional Nature Park .

The former route nationale 520 (today's D520) runs through the municipality .
