Herbeys is a French commune in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It has 1,361 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) and is part of the Arrondissement of Grenoble and the canton of Le Pont-de-Claix (until 2015: Canton Eybens ). The inhabitants are called Herbigeois .
geography
Herbeys is about eight kilometers southeast of Grenoble city center . Herbeys is surrounded by its neighboring communities Gières in the north, Saint-Martin-d'Uriage in the east, Vaulnaveys-le-Haut in the south and south-east, Brié-et-Angonnes in the south and south-west and Poisat in the west and north-west.
