Livet-et-Gavet is a French commune in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality, which belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble and the canton of Oisans-Romanche , has 1,315 (as of January 1, 2017) inhabitants, called the Livetons , Gavetons or Riouperuchons .
The municipality consists of the three mountain villages Livet , Rioupéroux and Gavet .
geography
Livet-et-Gavet is located about 35 kilometers east-southeast of Grenoble on the Romanche . The two mountain lakes Lac du Poursollet and Lac Fourchu are located in the municipality . Livet-et-Gavet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Revel in the north, Allemond in the northeast, Le Bourg-d'Oisans and Oulles in the east, Ornon in the southeast, Plan and La Morte in the south, Saint-Barthélemy-de-Séchilienne and Séchilienne in the Southwest and Chamrousse in the west.
