Saint-Martin-de-la-Cluze is a French municipality with 717 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Grenoble and belongs to the canton of Matheysine-Trièves ( Monestier-de-Clermont until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Martinous .

geography

Saint-Martin-de-la-Cluze is located about 24 kilometers south-southwest of Grenoble in the Vercors Mountains. To the east borders the commune of Drac , here called Lac de Notre-Dame-de-Commiers . Saint-Martin-de-la-Cluze is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vif in the north, Notre-Dame-de-Commiers in the northeast, Monteynard in the east, Avignonet in the south and southeast, Sinard in the south and southwest, Miribel-Lanchâtre in the west and Southwest as well as Le Gua in the west and northwest.

The A51 autoroute runs through the municipality .
