Drac
The Drac is a river in France that runs in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions. Its main source, the Drac Noir, has its source in the Pelvoux massif, on the northwest flank of the Crête de la Dent mountain range , near the Col des Tourettes (2582 m). The source is in the Écrins National Park , in the Orcières municipality . The Drac initially drains northwest through the Champsaur landscape , later swings in a northerly direction, crosses the greater Grenoble area and flows into the Isère as a left tributary after 130 kilometers just northwest of it at the municipal boundary of Sassenage and Saint-Égrève . The Drac crosses the Hautes-Alpes and Isère departments on its way . It runs about 90 km along the Route Napoléon .
In the upper reaches of the river is the water intake of the Gap Canal , which carries water into the neighboring valley of the Durance .
