The Souloise is a river in France that runs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur regions. It rises in the mountainous landscape of the Dévoluy massif , north of the Col de Rabou pass , in the municipality of Dévoluy , first drains in a north-westerly direction, then turns from northeast to north and after 26 kilometers flows into the municipal boundary of Ambel and Pellafol as a left tributary the Drac , which is dammed up here to the Lac de Sautet . On its way, the Souloise crosses the Hautes-Alpes and Isère departments .
