Saint-Guillaume is a French municipality with 258 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Grenoble and belongs to the canton of Matheysine-Trièves ( Monestier-de-Clermont until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Guillaumous .

geography

Saint-Guillaume is located about 28 kilometers south-southwest of Grenoble on a plateau in the Vercors Mountains. The river Gresse limits the municipality to the north and west. Saint-Guillaume is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Miribel-Lanchâtre in the north and northeast, Saint-Paul-lès-Monestier in the east and southeast, Gresse-en-Vercors in the south and southwest and Saint-Andéol in the west.
