Mont-Saint-Martin is a French commune with a population of 79 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble , the Canton of Grenoble-2 (until 2015 Saint-Égrève ) and the Grenoble-Alpes-Métropole municipal association . The inhabitants are called Saint-Martiniers .

geography

Mont-Saint-Martin is located about ten kilometers north-northwest of Grenoble in the southern roof of the Chartreuse massif within the Chartreuse Regional Nature Park . The highest point in the municipality is the summit Le Rochers de Chalves ( 1845  m ) in the north. Mont-Saint-Martin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pommiers-la-Placette in the north, Proveysieux in the east, Fontanil-Cornillon in the south and south-west and Voreppe in the west and north-west.
