The Province of Arezzo ( Italian Provincia di Arezzo ) is an Italian province in the Tuscany region . The capital is Arezzo . It has 341,766 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in 36 municipalities on an area of 3235 km².
The province borders in the north on Emilia-Romagna ( province Forlì-Cesena ), in the north-east on the Marche ( province Pesaro and Urbino ), in the east on Umbria ( province Perugia ), in the south-west on the province of Siena and in the north-west on the metropolitan city of Florence . The Arno River crosses the province.

The province carries the military medal of honor in gold ( Medaglia d'oro al valor militare ) for the partisan activities carried out in it during the Second World War .
