Les Deux Alpes is a French commune with 1,908 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Grenoble and the Canton of Oisans-Romanche .

On January 1, 2017, Les Deux Alpes was formed as Commune nouvelle from the previously independent municipalities of Mont-de-Lans and Vénosc .

Les Deux Alpes is located about 35 kilometers east-southeast of Grenoble on the Vénéon and, together with the high alp of the same name, forms the important winter sports center Les Deux Alpes (ski area) . Les Deux Alpes is surrounded by the neighboring communities Auris in the north and north-west, Le Freney-d'Oisans in the north, Mizoën in the north and north-east, La Grave in the east and north-east, Saint-Christophe-en-Oisans in the east and south-east, Valjouffrey in the South and Le Bourg-d'Oisans to the west.
