Vénosc is a town and commune Déléguée in the French commune of Les Deux Alpes with 767 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The inhabitants are called Vénoscins .
With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Mont-de-Lans and Vénosc were merged to form Commune nouvelle Les Deux Alpes . The municipality of Vénosc was part of the arrondissement of Grenoble and the canton of Oisans-Romanche .
geography
Vénosc is located about 37 kilometers east-southeast of Grenoble on the River Vénéon . In this area lies the La Muzelle lake . Vénosc is surrounded by the neighboring towns of Mont-de-Lans in the north, Saint-Christophe-en-Oisans in the east, Valjouffrey in the south and Le Bourg-d'Oisans in the west.
Vénosc is part of the Les Deux Alpes winter sports area .
