The Vénéon is a mountain river in France that runs in the Isère department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the Écrins National Park , in the Dauphiné Alps , in the glacier region west of the Barre des Écrins mountain range , in the municipality of Saint-Christophe-en-Oisans . The river generally drains north-west and flows into the Romanche after 34 kilometers in the municipality of Le Bourg-d'Oisans as a left tributary .
