The Eau d'Olle is a mountain river in France that runs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises under the name Ruisseau de Longue Combe on the municipal boundary of Saint-Colomban-des-Villards and Saint-Sorlin-d'Arves . Its source is on the south side of the Col de Bellard (2233 m). It drains through the high valley between the Belledonne and Grandes Rousses massifs generally in a south-westerly direction and flows into the Romanche after around 29 kilometers in the northern municipality of Le Bourg-d'Oisans , near the border with the neighboring municipality of Allemond, as a right tributary . On its way, the Eau d'Olle crosses the Savoie and Isère departments .
