Merone is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4092 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Como in Lombardy .

geography

The municipality is located about 13 kilometers southeast of Como and about 35 kilometers north of Milan and includes the fraction Moiana . The neighboring municipalities are: Costa Masnaga , Erba , Eupilio , Lambrugo , Lurago d'Erba , Monguzzo , Rogeno . Merone borders the province of Lecco .
