Cermenate is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9265 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Como in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 12 kilometers south of Como and about 27.5 kilometers north-northwest of Milan . Cermenate borders directly on the province of Monza and Brianza . The community can be spatially assigned to Brianza .
