Sormano is a municipality with 640 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Como in the Lombardy region .
geography
Sormano lies between the two arms of Lake Comos and borders Asso , Barni , Bellagio , Caglio , Lasnigo , Magreglio , Nesso and Zelbio .
Via the Muro di Sormano you reach the Colma di Sormano pass of the same name, 1124 meters high. The road is a regular part of the Lombardy Tour and is one of the steepest sections to be ridden in professional cycling races.
