Brienno is a town with 330 inhabitants in Italy on the south west bank of Lake Como .
geography
The community has retained its pre-industrial character. On the one hand, this may be due to the steeply sloping bank, which has hindered modern urbanization so far. Furthermore, the site is largely bypassed by traffic by means of a 1150 meter long tunnel. Apart from the old main street, the nested architecture is only traversed by cart-width paths.
