Valmorea is an Italian commune ( comune ) in the province of Como in the Lombardy region .

geography

The community has 2687 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) and extends over an area of ​​3.25 km². This corresponds to a population density of 838.21 inhabitants / km². Valmorea is at an altitude of 408  m . The districts of the municipality are Caversaccio , Casanova Lanza , San Rocco , Dosso , Filanda and Malpaga . Valmorea was formed in 1928 by royal decree by merging the villages of Caversaccio (Caverzaas) and Casanova Lanza (Casanœva).
