Gianluigi Giudici
Gianluigi Giudici (born July 13, 1927 in Valmorea , † February 16, 2012 in Beregazzo con Figliaro ) was an Italian sculptor .
Life
Appreciation
In October 2016, the Gispsothek Giudici Museum, planned and implemented by the Fondazione Renato and Gianluigi Giudici , was opened in Lugano . Around 60 of his works are on display in the premises, as well as a replica of the artist's studio with sketches, drawings and drafts of plaster and bronze works, which give insights into the artist's work.
Works
- Monumental bronze sculpture "Christ as a fisherman" with flanking apostles above the main entrance of the parish church Zum Guten Hirten in Vienna-Hietzing (1992). He also created 42 bronze figures for this church for an expressive, three-dimensional Way of the Cross (1966–1971) and the bronze sculpture Madonna and Child (1965).
