Gravedona ed Uniti is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4153 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Como in Lombardy .

geography

The municipality is located about 40 kilometers north-northeast of Como on the west bank of Lake Como and borders directly on the province of Lecco and the Swiss cantons of Ticino and Graubünden . Neighboring communities are Bellinzona , Colico , Domaso , Dongo , Dosso del Liro , Garzeno , Peglio , Roveredo , San Nazzaro Val Cavargna , San Vittore and Stazzona .

The community was formed on February 11, 2011 from the formerly independent communities and today's districts of Gravedona , Consiglio di Rumo and Germasino .

The Strada Statale 340 Regina runs through the municipality from Como to the Swiss border near Valsolda .
