Ramponio Verna
Until 2016, Ramponio Verna was an independent municipality in the province of Como in Lombardy . It was made up of the two districts of Ramponio (community seat) and Verna.

The former municipal area lies between Lake Lugano and Lake Como at an altitude of about 705 m slm
history
The community of Ramponio Verna was awarded the War Cross for Military Bravery for military bravery, for the victims of its population and for their work in the partisan struggle of the Resistancea . On January 1, 2017, Ramponio Verna merged with the municipalities of Lanzo d'Intelvi and Pellio Intelvi to form the new municipality of Alta Valle Intelvi . Neighboring communities were Claino con Osteno , Laino , Lanzo d'Intelvi, Pellio Intelvi and Valsolda . At the time of the merger, the community had 465 inhabitants.
