Bizzarone is a municipality in the province of Como in Lombardy in Italy . The village has 1722 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019)

geography

The municipality is located on the border with Switzerland at the foot of the Colle S. Ambrogio mountain (528 m above sea level) . The neighboring communities are: Mendrisio ( CH - TI ), Novazzano (CH-TI), Rodero , Stabio (CH-TI), Uggiate-Trevano , Valmorea .

In recent years, Bizzarone has developed into a residential community with villas. Nevertheless, the old village center has been almost completely preserved.
