geography

The municipality is located about 9 kilometers south-southwest of Como . The municipality is bounded to the east by the Seveso .

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in the 12th century, although the Johannes Abbey of Vertemate was built between 1084 and 1086. The includes the groups Vertemate and Minoprio . The neighboring municipalities are: Cadorago , Cantù , Cermenate , Cucciago and Fino Mornasco .
