Tavernerio (formerly also Tavernerio con Urago ) is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5755 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Como in Lombardy .

geography

The municipality is located about 5 kilometers east-southeast of Como on Monte Bolettone (1317 meters) and includes the following fractions: Ponzate , Rovascio , Solzago and Urago . The Cosia flows through the municipality and flows into Lake Como .

traffic

The former state road 342 (now a provincial road) runs through the municipality when coming from Como through the Brianza to Bergamo .
