Zelbio is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 197 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in Lombardy in the province of Como .

geography

The municipality is located about 12.5 kilometers northeast of Como at an altitude of around 800 meters in the Triangolo Lariano , the mountainous peninsula that protrudes into Lake Como . Neighboring municipalities are Bellagio , Lezzeno , Nesso , Sormano and Veleso .
