Mozzate is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 8789 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Como in Lombardy .

geography

The municipality is located about 18 kilometers southwest of Como and about 29 kilometers northwest of Milan at the Parco della Pineta di Appiano Gentile e Tradate . It includes the districts of San Martino and Santa Maria Solaro . The neighboring communities are: Carbonate , Cislago (VA), Gorla Maggiore (VA), Gorla Minore (VA), Limido Comasco , Lurago Marinone .

traffic

The former State Road 233 (today: Provincial Road) runs through the municipality from Varese to Milan. The municipality's train station is on the Saronno – Laveno railway line operated by Ferrovie Nord Milano .
