The Saronno – Laveno railway is a railway line in Lombardy operated by the Ferrovienord railway company . It was built in 1884 as a branch of the Como – Varese – Laveno line at the request of the Como Province by the Società Anonima delle Ferrovie del Ticino (SFT) and taken over in 1888 by Ferrovie Nord Milano .

1926–1927, the line to Malnate was expanded to double track. In 1950 it was electrified with 3000 V direct current.
