Valbrona municipality in the province of Como

Valbrona is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2665 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Como in Lombardy .

geography

The municipality is located about 20 kilometers east-northeast of Como on Lake Como and about 10 kilometers west-northwest of Lecco . Valbrona borders directly on the province of Lecco and includes the fractions: Candalino , Maisano , Osigo , Visino and Liscione. In 1927, today's district of Visino , which was an independent municipality until then, was incorporated. The neighboring municipalities are: Abbadia Lariana (LC), Asso , Canzo , Lasnigo , Mandello del Lario (LC), Oliveto Lario (LC) and Valmadrera (LC).
