The residential building Inselstraße 26 in Düsseldorf-Pempelfort was built by the Düsseldorf architects Otto van Els and Bruno Schmitz between 1882 and 1883 and sold to Consul Kürten. The history painter Fritz Neuhaus lived there in 1889 . The building is a listed building .

The facade is divided into three axes, of which the central axis is particularly emphasized by a high, spacious entrance hall with a loggia above . Above the basement, which shows the corrugated plaster, the brick facade rises with plastic ornamentation in the style of the neo-renaissance .
