The archive of image and sound can be found underground.

The Dutch Institute for Image and Sound (Dutch: Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid ) is a media archive and museum. The institute was founded in Hilversum in June 1997 and is one of the largest audiovisual collections in Europe.

archive

In contrast to the German Broadcasting Archive, which leaves the archiving of programming assets to the individual ARD stations and only has historical holdings ( Weimar Republic , GDR and others), the Institute for Image and Sound has the complete image and sound archives of the public broadcasters taken over from the Netherlands. The archive material is supplemented by numerous other collections and made available to the public.

The institute has also set itself the task of archiving and documenting the works of Dutch documentary filmmakers as completely as possible.
